Slow to Anger

A quick-tempered man acts foolishly, And a man of evil devices is hated. (Proverbs 14:17)
Imagine a world where no matter the circumstance, you never got mad, frustrated, or lost your cool. Yeah, that's why I said imagine, Chances are if your anything like me, this is closer to Fantasy land than reality. However, that in no way negates the meaning, or truth of Gods word. We must be, "must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger (James 1:19)". And this applies especially where the family is concerned. Remember, You are to be for your wife what Christ is for the Church, and no where in this equation is there room for a "foolish man of evil devices." Act as Christ did, with gentleness, and love for your lady.

First, I want to applaud Ronnie on his efforts to help us all see the light God has provided. I think it is very helpful and encouraging to read his comments and also to see such a fine upstanding Christian to allow others to see and learn from his own faults.
Second, to all those who are blessed by these pages I want to ask for your prayers. My stepfather, Leroy Fishbaugh, suffered a "mini" stroke last Saturday. He is "fine" now and they have released him from the hospital, however "this is not where the story ends". First I ask you pray for him and the doctors, that they may be able to find the cause and perhaps prevent a future "major" stroke. More importantly, I implore you to pray for his soul. WHile he believes in a higher being, he is not a Christian. He has been very stubborn to accept God's words as truth and has very anti-establishment feelings toward the church. Please pray that he may see the light God has shown for him and that he may accept Jesus into his life.
Thank you for your time.
